Thomas Barrasso is a Scientist, Musician, and Photographer. His interest in photography goes back to the 1960s while using his first Argus, Kodak, and Polaroid cameras. As a geologist and chemist he works as an environmental professional in government and the private sector supporting investigations and restoration of contaminated lands. As a photographer his work is represented by galleries in MA, in print through magazines and CD jackets, and on the Internet. He specializes in existing light photography in both the natural setting of the landscape and in the music world of the stage. He has an extensive collection of images from various locations in New England and has photographed a variety of musicians including: The Grateful Dead, Luna, Dean & Britta, Damon & Naomi, Furthur, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and Dave Brubeck. He adopted the Fuji X camera system since the introduction of the Fuji X100, now creating images exclusively with the X100T, XPro2, and the XT2.
